We've all tag someone and someone have tagged us in one, two many times - sometimes, we are culprit of tagging someone inappropriately as well as people tagging us as well.

You want to stop people from tagging you on Facebook, don't worry, we'll work you through how you can manage your privacy settings on status.

Facebook has a feature that allows Users' to tag friends on photo they took but some people would tag you in pictures that doesn't concern you.

Recently, I visited a friend Facebook profile to check out his latest post that I might have missed, guess what, I did not see any of his posts on the first page. it was so annoying that I had to scan through all the pictures and posts of other people who have tagged him in 'unnecessary' conversations and pictures that doesn't concern him and he left it.

Imagine, if I wanted to give him a job and I needed to see some of his activies on Facebook, that';s how he would have lost his chance and I know that is how almost 70% of Facebooks profiles are - post from other people dominates in your profile - OWN YOUR PROFILE.

'Untag' me already

To "untag" yourself in an image or a status put up by another person, hit the pencil icon on the top right.
Select "Remove tag."
I don't want to be tagged

After you've clicked the Untag, Facebook would like to know why you don';t want to be tagged.
The first set of options gives you the choice of quietly removing the tag, asking the person who tagged you to remove the tag, or block the tagger.

The next options look at why you want the tag removed.
If it's simply an unflattering or undesirable image select the first option and hit "Continue."
Facebook Privacy Settings

Locate "Privacy Settings" from the drop-down menu on the top right of your Facebook page.
Tag Settings

Hit "Edit Settings" next to the "How tags work" section.
How Tags Work

You'll now see a list of options you can change and tweak to suit you.
Timeline Review

The first is "Timeline Review".
Enabling this will mean you can manually review any post you are tagged in before it shows in your Timeline.
Tag Review

"Tag Review" works the same way for photo tags.
Enable this to review photo tags before they appear on your Timeline.
Tag Suggestions

"Tag Suggestions" gives you the choice of either allowing or disallowing your friends from tagging you in pictures that your face appear - Smart Facebook.

You can turn this off altogether by selecting "No one," or allow suggestions to show up to your friends.
Activity Log Notifications

If you've enabled the review options, now when someone tags you, you have to manually approve the tag from the Timeline Review tab in your profile.
15. Custom Privacy

Here you can hide tagged posts that appear on your Timeline from certain people (or lists you've already set up).
Displaying Tagged Posts

Now you'll see (from your "Activity Log" view) that approved tagged posts are visible to your friends -- minus the people you added to the "Hide" option.
